“Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.”-Helen Keller

Warren Buffet is one of the richest persons of our time and his ‘magical’ approach to investing has become a guide for all investors around the world. Phil Town in his book ‘Rule #1’ quoted Warren to have said “There are two rules of investing: Rule #1: Don’t lose money…and Rule #2: Don’t forget Rule #1”.

The secret of Warren’s success has been attributed to his alliance with his mentor Benjamin Graham though he started investing at the age of 11. After reading Benjamin Graham’s book, ‘The Intelligent Investor’, he (Warren) immediately enrolled at Columbia Business School to study directly under Graham and later worked for him for two years just to get the necessary guide to investment that has changed his life. Graham mentored Buffet to become who his is today. Graham was indeed Buffet’s life changing angel compass that showed him the road to greatness that his life has become today.

Bill Gate saw opportunities in software industry perhaps because his friend and partner Paul Allen told him after reading about it in 1975, an alliance that birth Microsoft. Thomas Edison would not have amounted to nothing else his Mother who believed in him even after his teachers called him addled, Neil Armstrong perhaps will not have been the first man that stepped on the moon else the inspiration he got from the Wright Brothers, Stephen King will not have published his first novel in 1973 except for his wife who picked the manuscript from the trash and encouraged him to finish it. Stephen King’s books have sold more than 350million copies with 54 novels publications. Anthony Robbins would not have become one of the greatest life coaches in the world not for his association with Jim Rohn that changed his life. We would not have been motivated by Helen Keller else her relationship with one of the greatest teachers that ever lived, Ann Sullivan. Abraham the father of Faith also had Melchizedek to whom he gave the tenth of his earnings.

There are mentors; coaches; friends, parents, partners that have helped greatest people in history find their passions. You have to be attentive, listen and follow the lead if you ever come across such guidance in your life. When you find your Benjamin Graham, behave like Warren Buffet.
